Snowshoeing in the Rockies

Friday, I went snowshoeing with a guy I met at the hostel.  For him, it was his shakedown cruise for a summit attempt on Mt. Democrat near Breckenridge.  For me, it was just a another great walk in the woods. We hiked roughly 2 miles up to a meadow on the Green Mountain trail in Rocky Mtn. National Park.   Afterwards I cruised the back roads via the detour around the I-70 rockslide even though the interstate was re-opened.  It was a beautiful drive.
